Voor 2026 staan weer enkele projecten op stapel.

De verhuizing van bibliotheek Poeldijk naar een tijdelijke locatie, de ontvangst van een groep Chinese kinderen en hun begeleiders, de organisatie van een concert in Den Haag en een tournee naar Kopenhagen.

 

Verhuizing bibliotheek Poeldijk

Voor Bibliotheek Westland heb ik de verhuizing van de bibliotheek in Poeldijk gecoördineerd.

Deze moest verhuizen omdat op de plek die zij tijdelijk verlaten nieuwbouw wordt gepleegd.

De verwachting is dat over 3 jaar de bibliotheek naar de nieuwbouw kan verhuizen.

 

Ontvangst Chinese groep

Ik ben door S&L Cultural Exchange Center gevraagd eind augustus|begin september een groep Chinese kinderen en hun begeleiders te ontvangen in Westland.

Een programma wordt nader uitgewerkt.

 

Concerten en tournee North Sea Symphony Orchestra

Als secretaris van het North Sea Symphony Orchestra organiseer ik met de overige bestuursleden een nieuw project.

Eind oktober wordt een tournee naar Denemarken (Kopenhagen) gemaakt.

In Kopenhagen worden twee concerten gegeven en voorafgaand aan de tournee wordt op 11 oktober 2026 nog een concert in Den Haag georganiseerd (in de Nieuwe Badkapel).

Het orkest zoekt nog strijkers, hoornisten en trombonisten.

Several projects are planned for 2026.

These include the relocation of the Poeldijk library to a temporary location, the reception of a group of Chinese children and their caregivers, the organization of a concert in The Hague, and a tour to Copenhagen.

Relocation of the Poeldijk library

I coordinated the relocation of the library in Poeldijk for the Westland Library.

It had to move because new construction is underway at the location it is temporarily vacating.

The expectation is that the library can move to the new building in three years.

Reception of a Chinese group

I was asked by the S&L Cultural Exchange Center to host a group of Chinese children and their caregivers in Westland at the end of August|beginning of September.

I am preparing the program.

Concerts and tour of the North Sea Symphony Orchestra

As secretary of the North Sea Symphony Orchestra, I am organizing a new project with the other board members.

A tour to Denmark (Copenhagen) will take place at the end of October.

Two concerts will be given in Copenhagen, and prior to the tour, a concert will be held in The Hague (at the Nieuwe Badkapel) on 11 October 2026.

THe orchestra is still looking for string players and French horn and trombone players.
